Sensato — Restaurant Review in Barcelona
Sensato is one of Barcelona's best Japanese restaurants and offers a focused sushi omakase experience that genuinely transports you to Japan. With fewer than €100 per person for the menu, it remains relatively reasonable for this level of quality, although the simple, food-focused setting is probably better for sushi obsessives than for a romantic date.
Much like at Sato i Tanaka, everything here centres on a pure sushi omakase. Only a handful of guests sit at the counter in a very simple setting, with virtually everything designed around concentrating on the food. At under €100 per person it is not quite as inexpensive as comparable omakase restaurants in Japan, but it still represents very good value for the quality. If you love sushi, it is difficult to imagine leaving disappointed, although it probably would not be our first choice for a romantic date. The drinks selection is minimal, with very few wines and a decent, reasonably priced sake selection, which feels entirely appropriate for this type of restaurant.
