Sato i Tanaka — Restaurant Review in Barcelona
Sato i Tanaka is one of Barcelona's best sushi experiences and perhaps the city's ultimate lunchtime bargain, offering a complete omakase for around €65 per person. The simple counter setting and total focus on the sushi make it feel remarkably close to eating at a small omakase restaurant in Japan.
Like Sensato, it delivers a wonderfully pure sushi omakase experience. The lunch menu in particular is comparable in spirit and value to small omakase restaurants in Japan. There are just two counters in a very simple room, and everything is focused on the food rather than décor or ceremony. For sushi lovers, it is close to heaven. The drinks list is small, offering some sake and a handful of unfamiliar wine labels, so on our visit we simply opted for beer.
