Pompa is one of our absolute favourites, feeling more like a stylish wine bar than a traditional restaurant. It is the perfect place for a great bottle, a few excellent bites and a relaxed, informal night out.
The small, stylish room offers seats at the bar as well as a handful of tables, creating an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. The food is relatively simple but very well executed, with raw fish, cheeses and a small selection of mains. As the sister restaurant to Berbena, it shares the same outstanding wine list, ranging from fairly priced bottles to rare finds such as Selosse Champagne and Coche-Dury white Burgundy. For an informal, fun evening built around a great bottle, it is exactly where we would go.
