Mont Bar — Restaurant Review in Barcelona
Mont Bar is one of Barcelona’s references for high-end tapas, combining a true fine-dining approach with the cool, relaxed feel of an upscale bar. The food is consistently memorable and the balance between formal and informal works extremely well
If you love tapas but want to experience them in a true fine-dining setting, this is a great choice. The room itself feels more like a stylish bar than a formal dining room. The dishes are consistently very good and memorable, while the service is friendly, highly professional and refreshingly laid-back, making every evening there feel fun rather than stiff. However, be warned that the bill is unusually high for tapas, which is partly explained by its two-Michelin-star status; for us, however, it feels more like an exceptional one-star restaurant than a convincing two-star experience. The wine list is the weakest part, with a rather mediocre selection and prices that feel too high.
