Malparit — Restaurant Review in Barcelona
Malparit is a neighbourhood gem serving very good tapas in a cool, relaxed setting, with dishes such as the bone marrow and tuna standing out. The wine list is fairly average, but the food and attentive service make it well worth visiting if you are nearby.
The bone marrow and tuna once again show how deeply El Bulli has influenced Barcelona's restaurant scene. The tapas are consistently very good, and the cool setting works equally well inside or outside. Every dish performed well on our visit, and the service was notably attentive. It is definitely one of the better tapas restaurants and always worth visiting if you are in the area. The wine list is rather mediocre and heavily focused on local wines, so we would come for the food rather than make a special trip for the bottles.
