Gresca is a long-standing Barcelona favourite with a great local vibe, very good grilled meats and consistently strong tapas. Service can be a little hit or miss, but the food usually makes up for it, which is why tables can be hard to get at short notice.
Despite its long history, it is still packed with locals. Our favourites are the grilled meats, though the tapas are strong too. It can be difficult to get a table, especially at short notice, and the service can occasionally be a little unpredictable, similar to Ultramarinos Marín. Still, the quality of the food almost always makes the visit worthwhile. The wine list is good, with a clear emphasis on Spanish and French bottles.
