Denassus — Restaurant Review in Barcelona
Denassus is one of our favourite neighbourhood tapas restaurants, with consistently excellent food, fair prices and a relaxed setting away from Barcelona's most touristy areas. The seasonal menu, strong natural-wine selection and recurring classics such as the duck croquette make it a place we happily return to.
Almost every dish we have tried here has been excellent, and the seasonal menu means there is usually something new to discover. Thankfully, some classics tend to remain, including the fantastic duck croquette, and the relaxed atmosphere also makes the outdoor tables enjoyable despite the street itself not being particularly beautiful. The wine list is very good if you enjoy natural wines, with the occasional chance to drink rare bottles from producers such as Comando G. You can also find some excellent traditional Spanish wines, including bottles like white López de Heredia Tondonia Gran Reserva, at refreshingly reasonable prices.
