Compartir is one of our all-time favourites in Barcelona and, for us, the benchmark for modern tapas. Almost every dish is memorable, the cooking is consistently excellent, and the whole experience offers remarkable quality for the price.
The small sibling of Disfrutar. We often debate whether, with only one meal left in the city, we would choose Compartir or Bar Cañete. If Cañete is the best of the best for classic tapas, Compartir is our reference point for modern tapas, with dishes executed at a very high level. We especially love the navajas, the croquette with hoisin and the tuna cannelloni, which is our children’s favourite dish. The Panchino, a Disfrutar classic, is also excellent, although it is the most expensive dish on the menu and, compared with the many other dishes that feel like a bargain, perhaps not the obvious first choice for everyone. The wine list is solid, particularly for Spanish wines, and prices are generally very reasonable.
