Bar Cañete — Restaurant Review in Barcelona
Bar Cañete is a lively, upscale tapas bar in the heart of Barcelona, combining classic Catalan and Spanish dishes with excellent ingredients and a buzzing atmosphere. It is the kind of place that feels special without being overly formal or pretentious.
Quite simply, some of the best tapas in Barcelona. The squid sandwich is absolutely out of this world and worth the visit on its own. The energy in the room is a big part of the fun. We bring pretty much every visitor we have in Barcelona here, and it never disappoints. The only downside is its very touristic location, an area we would normally rather avoid, but for Bar Cañete it is absolutely worth making an exception. For us, Bar Cañete is basically the Sagrada Família of tapas bars — an essential Barcelona experience.
Limited selection of wines but at least at relatively honest prices.
